As a fifth generation Sacramentan,  my parents frequently took me to their neighborhood restaurant called The Fireside, over on Elvas and H street.   As I walked into the restaurant with my parents, everyone would turn and greet my father with  “Hey Hads”.  My favorite meal was their Steak Sandwich, while Dad  tried to make a dent in their Porterhouse, the size of Hughes Stadium, all while my mom savoured her scallops  and prawns.

Besides being a great meal, which always included soup or  salad, their prices were extremely reasonable.  In the last years of my parent’s  life, we often spoke about how the simple concept of    “ great food, at a great cost in a great environment “ seemed to be a thing of the past.   Well, not anymore!  With the previous owners help,  Hads will be just that!

Anyone that remembers the Fireside, will mention all of the above and how it is missed.  Although Hads will have its own unique flavors and new specials daily, we invite you to enjoy a great meal at a great price in a comfortable, relaxing environment.  Come join us and see if we can’t also help to make wonderful memories for you and yours for years to come!
